The Board of Directors of the Greenburgh Nature Center has announced the appointment of Alix Dunn as the new Executive Director of Greenburgh Nature Center.
Dunn brings a wealth of environmental nonprofit leadership experience to the Nature Center, and has dedicated her career to the protection of waterways, open spaces, and areas for public enjoyment. Having grown up along the Hudson River, in Sleepy Hollow, and spending summers on the north shore of Long Island Sound, she developed a love of natural resource protection early on.
Nature Center staff and Board are eager to begin working under Dunn's leadership and continue advancing our mission to ignite passion, curiosity and respect for our natural world.
The Board President, Jim Blann, believes that with this new leadership, "the organization is poised for an exciting next chapter of Greenburgh Nature Center history.”
The Town of Greenburgh looks forward to partnering with the Nature Center on many environmental initiatives in the coming years. We will do whatever we can to help the new Director succeed. The Greenburgh Nature Center is the closest thing to paradise off of Central Ave!
“It’s an honor to join Greenburgh Nature Center at such an exciting time,” said Dunn. “I can’t wait to bring my experience back home to a community-based organization that is impactful on so many levels.”
