WELCOME NEW BUSINESS  FROM RUSSIA --NEW RESIDENTS LAUNCH BUSINESS RUMORE BEAUTY.COM, ORGANIC BEAUTY PROJECTS

EDGEMONT ROTARY NEEDS MORE MEMBERS TO BECOME AN INDEPENDENT CLUB

AND...A FREE WRITING CLINIC FOR STUDENTS

We hope that this email finds you well and that your 2021 has been off to a great start. My husband Max and I moved from Brooklyn to Greenburgh in the summer of 2018 and we have been really enjoying it here. Especially, our house has become our sanctuary since the start of the pandemic.

Living closer to nature has become an inspiration for our business that we’re launching tomorrow, February 1 – RumoreBeauty.com - an e-commerce platform for natural, vegan, eco-friendly and organic beauty products from Russia.

Both of us grew up in Russia and we know first hand that Russian nature is rich in botanicals that have been known for their medicinal and beauty benefits for generations. I’ve spent the last decade working in the beauty industry in New York City so I’ve used my expertise to pick the products from trusted brands that had great natural and organic ingredients and that didn’t cost a fortune.

We’d love to share the news about the launch of our business with Greenburgh residents and were hoping you could include an update in the News & Town Board Reports newsletter.

Thank you for consideration and please don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions.

Sincerely –

Maria Maddox & Max Karr

EDGEMONT ROTARY NEEDS NEW MEMBERS

I am writing to you to ask you if you could include a small blurb in your next newsletter announcing the newly created EDGEMONT ROTARY CLUB.
We need twelve more members to become an independent club. As you may know, one of our first projects was the donation of fresh produce to the Dobbs Ferry Food Pantry, and we are working with other food establishments in the area to get more donations. At the same time, we have secured the donation of two high-performance computers to our school district as a backup, and we are planning a few more great projects to help the community and the environment.
Please feel free to include my address y.pacia@gmail.com.  Yasmin Pacia

From: Nishi Uppuluri  offers a free writing class for children.

Pything Description: Pything is a class designed to help your child improve his/her writing skills, but rather than just using our own writing skills to assess your child’s abilities, we also use Natural Language Processing, a type of artificial intelligence that reads and makes sense of the human languages in a manner that is valuable. Using NLP, we can find out things from what words your child uses the most in their writing, to even how strong their grammar is. By using this technology, we hope to democratize teaching writing to children from a multitude of different backgrounds. Nishi Uppuluri, a junior at Edgemont Jr/Sr High School, is the Pything founder, and classes are led by high school and middle school students throughout Westchester. Classes take place on Zoom.
Age Range: K-5
Starting Dates for Session 3: TBD, but most likely February 25th for Thursday classes and February 28th for Sunday classes. Class times and dates may vary based on enrollment for Session 3.Timing: 6 - 7 PM    Price:
Free!    To register, please emailpythingp@gmail.com.
