Snow angels need more volunteers. Can only help (at this time) people already on list....and don't throw snow back on road
Please help us out. Many of our DPW and parks Dept team have been working to clear snow since Sunday night. At this point the roads and town maintained areas are passable. As we start to dig out our own cars and properties we ask that you please do not deposit the snow on the town roads or sidewalks. These areas will become hazardous to the traveling public and our team is going to be getting some much needed rest and won't be able to immediately return to clear up the new conditions.
The Greenburgh snow angels are a group of volunteers. During the last snow storm we were able to help 50 families. This is a very big snow. It's going to take the volunteers much longer to help even one family. We believe we should be able to assist at least 35 families with the volunteers we have. We might not be able to help everyone on our list today --think it could take a few days to get to everyone we need to help
If individuals have unusual circumstances (receive meals and wheels) or have major medical problems we can help clear a walk so they could get food or be assisted in emergencies.
We don't think we could help assist new families at this time because of lack of volunteers.
If you would like to volunteer and become a snow angel please e mail greenburghsnowangels@gmail.com.. More volunteers mean we can help more seniors

We are also compiling a list of non volunteers--people who will clear driveways for pay. Please e mail us if interested.
