Rob Segall is well known and well liked within the Ardsley community of Greenburgh.  He has coached students, has volunteered in community activities and has been honored for his activities.  In 2016 the Ardsley PTA presented Rob with the prestigious Jenkins Award.

He wrote a book  “I’d Rather Kill Myself Than Be A Lawyer, How Anyone Can Find Happiness,”  and talks about his struggles with  anxiety and depression in his late 20s, brought on by a combination of genetics, helicopter parents and a really, really bad  career for him that his parents encouraged him to pursue: becoming a lawyer.

In 1995 Rob took a a thirty pill cocktail in his law office in 1995. He then was treated at an NYU psyche ward in 1995.

Rob recovered from his depression and changed careers. Over the ensuing twenty-five years, Rob reinvented himself and built a successful career in financial services and financial planning. Rob also tried hard to deal with stress. He, at times was angry, insulting, inappropriate. But as time went on Rob and his high school sweetheart who became his wife (Karen) turned his life around.

These are difficult and stressful times for many people. If you are down, feeling depressed, think of how Rob turned around his life. You could also.
I interviewed Rob on my WVOX radio program recently.
