The Town Board is reviewing application for a 20 MegaWatt Battery Energy Storage system at Knollwood Country Club and has scheduled a site visit for Dec 19 at 11 AM... Public hearing January 13




At the Town Board meeting on Wednesday Board members decided to schedule a site visit of the Knollwood Country Club a week from Saturday. The Town Board already held two public hearings on the application and will hold  a third one on January 13th on the application to build a 20 megawatt battery energy storage system at the club.  Some questions were raised by residents, members of the Planning Board and Conservation Advisory Council during the hearing that have to be analyzed.

As you know the Town Board held a public hearing on an application to build a 20 MegaWatt Battery Energy Storage system and related infrastructure on a portion of the Knollwood Country Club on Wed December 9th. The club claims that without approval they will have to sell the property to a developer -probably for homes.

Another public hearing will take place on January 13 at 7:30 PM.   This hearing will be cablecast on Cable Access TV and streamed on the Town’s Website. Anyone interested in speaking at this hearing via Zoom should email PublicHearing@GreenburghNY.com.  This meeting will be held remotely (by Zoom).


Important issues have been  raised by residents, the Planning Board and CAC and we will do our due diligence before we make any decisions. Your input is very important to us.  If you have any questions feel free to reach out to me- anytime.  I am asking  the club for copies of 1.   Lease for the 1.6 acres; 2.  Agreement to Take-Over Management of the Club;3.  Option to Buy Land Owned by the Club or the Real Estate Company and all ancillary agreements
