[ARCHIVED] Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

A big thank you to the staff and volunteers who make our community a great place to live and work

On behalf of the approximately 90,000 residents of the Town of Greenburgh, on this Thanksgiving Day 2020, it seems most appropriate to take the opportunity to recognize all of the staff and volunteers, from all of our departments and forces, for their extraordinary commitment to ensuring the life safety, well being and comfort of our residents.

It is regretful and in some cases heartbreaking, that so many residents of our Town, members of our work force and local businesspeople have suffered physically, emotionally and fiscally due to the ravages of the Pandemic. We wish them well and want to reinforce that their neighbors and the Town government are thinking about them and remain available for any supports which we may be able to provide.

Our Town has fared better than others during this difficult year, because of the ability and determination of our residents and staff to work together with respect and cooperation. Such a model has always been dependent on trust and commitment, one to the other and I believe Thanksgiving Day is the perfect time to express just how fortunate we all are to have both a competent, caring staff and a Town comprised of wonderful and appreciative residents.

To all of our employees and the many residents from the community who volunteer to make Greenburgh a better place to live, your hard work, commitment and caring is greatly appreciated.

To the residents of our wonderful Town, thank you for supporting each other, our staff, Town Board, elected officials and a special thank you to those who have reached out to me personally.

Greenburgh is an extraordinarily special place to live and to work, it has been so for decades and will continue to be, in the future. I wish each and every one of you and your families, peace, health and happiness during this holiday season and throughout the coming years.

Enjoy your families and the holidays and be safe.

Paul Feiner, Greenburgh, Town Supervisor
