Description of the Project

The newly formed Edgemont Rotary Club functions as a Satellite club of Yonkers-East Yonkers Rotary Club.  We are in the very beginning stages, but we are working hard to identify more projects in the community of Greenburgh where we can be of help. We decided to choose the Dobbs Ferry Food Pantry after learning from the Director, Molly Rodriguez, how the need for help had risen in our area.  She explained they used to feed between 30 to 40 families before Covid, and now they are providing 130 families every week.  She also expressed that many people think that our area is affluent, but the reality is a different one; there is a lot of need in this area.  Approximately 500 residents come to the Dobbs Ferry Food Pantry every week.  The Edgemont Rotary Club is very excited to be part of this Food Drive, and we are looking forward to continuing our work as Rotarians and trying to help when needed.
