Yonkers & White Plains already have the law. Many residents throughout the town (especially on Central Ave) have been complaining about drag racing-speed contests
The Greenburgh Town Board will hold a public hearing tonight at 7:30 PM on a proposal to authorize the town to forfeiture vehicles of cars operated by motorists convicted of unlawful drag racing, speed contests. We have received numerous complaints about this dangerous practice from residents --especially those who live on Central Avenue. Have received complaints from other neighborhoods
The city of White Plains and Yonkers have previously approved a similar law. The Town Board meeting will be held remotely via zoom and will be aired live on the town website: www.greenburghny.com and on public access TV. Meetings are archived on the web.
