On Wednesday, October 14 at 7:30 PM the Greenburgh Town Board will hold a public hearing to adopt a local law that will enable the police to forfeiture vehicles involved in drag racing if the motorist is convicted of racing. The law is currently in place in Yonkers and in White Plains. Central Ave has experienced racing problems for years - it's very dangerous.
In preparation for the hearing the Greenburgh police placed a digital sign board on Central Ave warning motorists that in the future vehicles could be taken away from motorists convicted of speeding. Police have been assigned to increase enforcement of speeding laws.
Michael Nolan lost his life and his brother James Nolan wants to make sure that this kind of tragedy won't happen again. He spoke to the Greenburgh Town Board about the need for this law. Watch the video below of the digital sign on Central Ave and the presentation by James Nolan.
