[ARCHIVED] Another pharmacy offering outdoor flu shots...Hartsdale Rotary/Staples helping Greenburgh schools

Another pharmacy is helping residents with flu shots by offering outdoor shots...and, Hartsdale Rotary and Staples helping Greenburgh schools

outdoor flu shots offered by an Elmsford pharmacy....Hartsdale Rotary/Staples helping Greenburgh schools. Marinelli's in Elmsford offering outdoor flu shots If you know of outdoor flu shot opportunities please share so I can advise residents.  Rivertowns pediatrict in Dobbs Ferry (330 8445) and Scarsdale Medical  259 Heathcote, Scarsdale (723 8100) offer flu shots by appointment. Many people with compromised immune systems prefer taking their flu shots outside. My e mail is pfeiner@greenburghny.com I am the owner of Marinelli’s Village Pharmacy on Route 119 in Elmsford, one of Elmsford’s oldest businesses. Although we don’t have a tent outside we have a bench that we can screen off and we are able to administer flu and other shots outside. We also have a parking spot right in front where patients can stay in their cars for people that can’t get out of their cars. I would appreciate you posting this on your social media sites to promote this. Hoping this can be a good start and warm up to gear up for COVID vaccinations down the road. Call with any questions or comments of how we can help the community. Thanks a lot Marc Marinelli's Village Pharmacy 31 East Main Street Elmsford, NY 10523 (914)592-8211 (914)592-8212 Fax

ROTARY PARTNERS WITH STAPLES TO DONATE SUPPLIES TO GREENBURGH SCHOOLS The Hartsdale Greenburgh Rotary has partnered with Staples in Elmsford to gather school supplies to donate to the Hartsdale Greenburgh School System.  This is a program that the Rotary undertakes every year, but the partnership with Staples has significantly increased the size of the donation. ‘We have never given this much to the schools since we’ve been working on this project,’ says Bob Stern, a long-serving Hartsdale Rotarian.  ‘Staples went above and beyond anything we could have expected, contributing discounts and contributions of their own.’  During the back to school season, Staples gives customers the opportunity to purchase a $5 or $10 donation bag containing school supplies at a discount to help students gear up for the year ahead.  They also offer special discounts and programs for teachers in the community. “Community is one of our core values at Staples, and we were thankful for the opportunity to partner with the Hartsdale Greenburgh Rotary to make a difference in our own backyard, especially for area students who are adapting to a different back to school season this year,” said Manny Kosmas, Staples General Manager.  As a part of Rotary International, the Hartsdale Greenburgh Rotary is a service organization for the town, the region, the county and the wider world.  Local efforts include literacy, hunger and local school support projects, including a Student of the Month Award.  As a part of Rotary International, the Club’s world-wide mission is to promote peace through understanding and friendship.  Some of Rotary’s International Activities include Polio Plus, the attempt to eradicate Polio from the planet; Rotaplast, a program to correct juvenile cleft palates; Gift of Life, a program to correct heart defects in children; and Water For the World, a program which brings clean water to communities all over the world who lack this basic resource.  To find out more about the many wonderful programs Rotary supports and how you can become involved, please visit www.rotary.org, or call Joe Gardner, 201-220-4076. Thank you Marinelli's Village Pharmacy  and Hartsdale Rotary/for making a positive difference. PAUL FEINER
