[ARCHIVED] 9 days left to respond to census--75.5% of Greenburgh already responded

Greenburgh is doing better than other communities -but we still need more participation from residents. Every response means more financial assistance from Washington to the town! Our response rate is better than it was in 2010 and 2000.

Federal/state grants are given to local governments, school districts and fire districts based on population. Every 10 years a census is taken by the federal government. The town receives a daily report comparing how we’re doing with other communities in Westchester.  So far 75.5% of the residents of unincorporated Greenburgh have responded to the census questionnaire. There is still nine days left before the census closes there operation so there is time to respond if you haven’t.

The county response rate is 68%. And Greenburgh is so far doing better than we did in 2010 and in 2000.  The following comparisons might interest you.  Remember every response means more dollars for our schools and local governments from the fed’s over the next 10 years.
