The Town Board has three public hearings scheduled for the regular meeting tomorrow Wednesday, September 9th at 7:30pm. The first hearing is for a special permit and amended site plan application related to a new self-storage facility proposed at 630 White Plains Road, P.O. Tarrytown in Premier Plaza (Stop and Shop) Shopping Center. The subject site is located in the OB Office Building District. The second public hearing pertains to a proposed local law for Assisted Living Facilities, which are presently special permit uses in the Town’s One-Family Residence Districts. The proposed local law adds new criteria to the existing ordinance, including a 4,000 linear ft. distance requirement. No development proposals are related to this local law. The third hearing pertains to a new use (Continuum of Care Facility [CCF]– combination Assisted Living Facility and Independent Senior Living units in one building) proposed as part of a new CCF District. If the new district is approved, the applicant seeks to have a portion of the Metropolis Country Club subdivided and rezoned to the CCF District, for the purposes of facilitating a new 155 unit CCF at the existing entrance to the Golf Club.
