NYS WON’T ALLOW SECURE VOTING BOXES OUTSIDE MUNICIPAL BUILDINGS--SOMETHING THAT IS BEING DONE IN MANY OTHER STATES----

So far I have been unsuccessful in persuading the NYS Board of Elections or Westchester County Board of Elections to place secure voting ballot boxes outside municipal buildings -similar to the boxes placed in states all over the nation. I am very surprised (actually shocked) that NYS (which is one of the more progressive states in the nation) has not authorized these secure voting boxes which would have enabled voters to avoid the postal service and also avoid going inside crowded polling places if they are worried about getting infected with COVID.  I am also disappointed that absentee ballot request applications are not being sent to every voter --something that was done in June. Why is it harder to get an absentee ballot for the November election than the June primaries? Many State and County legislators have joined me encouraging the state to offer voters the option to place their absentee ballots in secure voting boxes.
