30 Con Ed outages in unincorporated Greenburgh. Con Ed shutting off power temporarily while making additional repairs...automatic refunds for Optimum customers (you don't have to do anything)...link to Con Ed claim for
There are 30 Con Ed customers who are out of power at the current time in unincorporated Greenburgh. I also spoke with the police and they indicated that Con Ed is also shutting power off temporarily from some homes while restoring power, replacing transformers in sections of town. These outages usually last no more than a few hours. The nightmare is almost over!
OPTIMUM WILL GIVE AN AUTOMATIC CREDIT--NO NEED TO APPLY
“We know how important your Optimum service is to you. Tropical Storm Isaias was one of the most powerful storms to strike the Northeast in years and our crews have been working around the clock to repair damage and restore your service as power returns. We appreciate your patience and will be providing a credit for the time that your Optimum services were not available when power was restored. There is no need to request this credit, we will simply apply it to your account in the next several weeks.”
YOU NEED TO FILE A CLAIM FOR LOST FOOD/MEDICINE FOR CON ED---I think the refunds should be automatic.
In contrast- Con Ed is requiring customers to file a claim within 30 days if they lost food/medication. This is the first time they are giving refunds for food but they are making it difficult. I think that Con Ed should do what Optimum is doing and providing customers with automatic refunds.
