[ARCHIVED] link to student intern interview with David Kaplan, author of Best selling books

Our 45 Greenburgh student interns interviewed David Kaplan of Irvington, author of Best selling books "The Most Dangerous Branch: Inside the Supreme Court" and "Silicon Boys". David also wrote many cover stories for Newsweek

Today is National Intern Day - a day to celebrate the work of interns all over the country. I thought readers would appreciate the following you tube video interview  our 45 Greenburgh student interns conducted with Irvington resident David Kaplan, author of the New  York Times Best Seller  "The Most Dangerous Branch: Inside the Supreme Court’s Assault on the Constitution."

David had served as an intern at the White House Press Office during the Carter Administration before serving as a litigator at a Wall Street law firm. He had a 20 year career at Newsweek and wrote dozens of cover stories. He also edited the annual Newsweek-Kaplan College Guide. He wrote other books including the "Silicon Boys", a national bestseller that has been translated into six languages and the "Accidental President", an account of the Bush-Gore election dispute on which the Emmy winning 2008 HBO feature film Recount is based.

David spent almost 2 hours meeting with our student interns. The captivating interview can be seen below.  Our student interns have been working hard - preparing public service announcements on pedestrian safety, COVID- need to wear masks. They are discussing racism and hope to come up with recommendations for governments and residents to follow and will be interviewing other very prominent local and national leaders in the coming weeks.  The internship is supervised by Town Clerk Judith Beville, Town Attorney Tim Lewis and myself--now in our 12th year. Apple Bank contributes $5000 a year to the program.
