watch 6 public service announcements on motorist/pedestrian safety produced by our Greenburgh summer interns. Our 45 Greenburgh summer 2020 interns are doing a great job. They produced six short public service announcements dealing with pedestrian safety, distracted driving, cycling safety and the importance of sidewalks during their first week. They have been meeting with town officials and prominent residents. The program, in our 12th year, is overseen by Town Clerk Judith Beville, Town Attorney Tim Lewis and myself. The college and high school students are from different neighborhoods around town - one of the most diverse groups of interns we’ve worked with over the years. Earlier this year Greenburgh experienced a number of fatal and serious pedestrian accidents. Hope these PSAs will encourage residents to be more careful when driving or walking.
