Town Historian

THIS WEEK’S SURVEY- PLAYGROUNDS

Last week 689 residents responded to the survey about the new walkway on Mario Cuomo Bridge. Thank you for your enthusiastic participation.

We are now asking for your feedback again on a different matter. Greenburgh recently re-opened our playgrounds, which had all been closed during the early months of COVID-19. We put up a sign at each playground advising parents that, according to WebMD, even if kids are practicing social distancing on the playground they are still touching the same surfaces as all the other kids, likely moving from one part of the playground to another and prone to touching their faces. They can get infected if they use the playground equipment and it had not been cleaned after a child with Covid-19 had used the equipment. The Town cannot clean the equipment after every use of the equipment. The Town assumes no responsibility for the safety of a child. With all of this in mind, please take Constituent Outreach Survey # 11 Regarding Safety on Greenburgh’s Playgrounds.
