Below please find information related to a site visit being conducted by the Town of Greenburgh Town Board. The Town Board invites residents interested in attending an informational meeting at the Metropolis Country Club where the applicant will walk the Board and others present through the proposed site features associated with an Assisted Living/Independent Senior Living proposal at Metropolis Country Club. This site visit is being conducted in place of a prior attempted site visit which was postponed due to inclement weather conditions. If you are able to attend this work session, I think it would be helpful for the Town Board, Town staff, and the applicant to hear the perspective residents who live closest to the project with regard to the proposal, the Golf Course, the Dobbs Ferry Road corridor, or any other aspect or concern that you may have.
SITE VISIT RELATED TO AN ASSISTED LIVING/INDEPENDENT SENIOR LIVING PROPOSAL AT METROPOLIS COUNTRY CLUB – Saturday, February 22nd at 1:30PM (Metropolis Country Club, 289 Dobbs Ferry Road, P.O. White Plains)
Brightview Senior Living presently operates a successful assisted living facility in the Town of Greenburgh on Old White Plains Road, at the intersection of Benedict Avenue and Rt. 119 in the Tarrytown portion of the Town. Brightview now seeks to partner with the Metropolis Country Club and proposes a second facility in the Town on lands that presently form the entryway to the golf club. This proposed 160-unit facility would be located on Dobbs Ferry Road and consist of one building that would house a combination of assisted living facility and independent senior living units. The golf course would remain. The applicant made a presentation of their proposal to the Town Board on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at the Greenburgh Town Hall auditorium. This process is part of an ongoing zoning petition to create a new use (Continuum of Care Facility) and CCF Floating Zone District enabling the combination of assisted living facility and independent senior living units in a single building. For those wishing to also attend the site visit, Please take notice that, due to site topography and the possibility of ice, snow, or wet conditions, appropriate footwear and outerwear should be worn. Please check the Town website if conditions are projected to be not conducive to a site visit, for updates.
IF IT SNOWS THE SITE VISIT WILL TAKE PLACE THE FOLLOWING SATURDAY A snow date of Saturday, February 29th is planned if necessary.
