The 57-year-old driver and a 17-year-old passenger, both from Ardsley, were killed when their car was struck by a wrong-way driver on Interstate 287 Thursday night, state police said.
Jordan H. Wachtell, the driver, was pronounced dead at the scene and passenger Eric Goldberg died while being transported to Westchester Medical Center. Two other 17-year-old passengers, one from Ardsley and the other from White Plains, were seriously injured. Both were transported to Westchester Medical Center.
The four were headed east in a 2018 BMW 330CI when their car was struck by a 2006 Jeep driven by Jamie Paucar, 50, of Amawalk. The Jeep was going west in the eastbound lanes, police said. The crash caused the Jeep to roll over and come to rest on the center median guide rail, police said.
