Westchester delegation to the State Assembly will hold a state budget public forum (Friday) from 10 AM to 3 PM Greenburgh Town Hall
more funding for road repaving on state rds
funding for safety : traffic lights, enhanced crosswalks, sidewalks
The NYS Assembly delegation from Westchester will hold their annual budget public forum tomorrow Friday January 31 at Greenburgh Town Hall from 10 AM to 3 PM.
If you have any suggestions on the proposed budget please attend the hearing and speak to state lawmakers.
I intend to speak around 1:30 PM and will urge the state to appropriate more funds to repave NYS owned roads located in Greenburgh. Although the state is repaving Hillside, Saw Mill River Road in Ardsley, parts of Dobbs Ferry Road - it’s not adequate. Most of the roads owned by NYS in Greenburgh are in very bad shape. We appreciate the repaving of these three roads but much more has to be done.
Will also ask NYS to appropriate funds for pedestrian safety initiatives on state roads. We have had pedestrian accidents on NYS roads. Crosswalks need to be made safer. And, NYS needs funds to build more sidewalks on NYS owned roads.
