WE NOW NEED REFLECTIVE VESTS AND HELMETS FOR THE ASYLUM SEEKERS WHO WILL USE THE DONATED BICYCLES FOR TRANSPORTATION
CLOTHING DRIVE FOR ASYLUM SEEKERS AT GREENBURGH TOWN HALL IS CLOSED DUE TO MORE THAN OVERWHELMING RESPONSE FROM COMMUNITY
Ardsley Mayor Nancy Kaboolian and I would like to thank the community for the MASSIVE outpouring of generosity stopping by at Greenburgh Town Hall this past week donating clothing for the asylum seekers being temporarily housed in Ardsley. When we announced the clothing drive we thought that the drive would last till the end of the month. But, the response exceeded our goals and we have more clothing than we need. Extra clothing that the asylum seekers don't need will be donated to Midnight Run or other charities. . We also want to thank the Rivertowns Rotary for coming to sort and transport the items, along with Dobbs Ferry Rec and the Mayor of Ardsley Nancy Kaboolian. Our residents are very special, kind and caring as evidenced by the help they give the less fortunate.
NEXT REQUEST: This past summer many residents donated bicycles to the Asylum seekers. We now need reflective vests and helmets that they could use. Please drop them off at Greenburgh Town Hall, 177 Hillside Ave, White Plains, NY 10607. Any questions: Call me at 914 438 1343 or e mail me at email@example.com.
