[ARCHIVED] Dog swim, Bicycle Sunday today, stormwater education

Take your dog for a swim, enjoy Bicycle Sundays

BICYCLE SUNDAY TODAY from 10 2 PM---If you love bicycling take your family to the Bronx River Parkway . You can bicycle on the parkway today (September 10), September 17, 24 and October 1 from the County Center on the Greenburgh/White Plains border to Tuckahoe. You can also --if you are looking for a longer ride - get on the beautiful path from the County Center to the Kensico Dam. Bicycle Sundays and the path were initiatives that got me started in politics in 1973 and in 1974. I was the Chair of the Task force for Bikeways in Westchester in 1973 and in 1974 former County Executive Al Del Bello appointed me to his Bikeway Committee and I suggested Bicycle Sundays to the County Executive. So pleased that this is one of the county's longest running and most popular recreation programs.

TODAY - DOG SWIM AF VETERAN PARK FROM 10-2

If you have a dog take your dog to the town pool (not open for humans today) for a swim. It's an annual event --very popular. You can register on site. $10 per dog.

ENJOY!
