On my WVOX radio program two dedicated librarians were interviewed. Their goal: to make the Greenburgh Library the best library in the United States!
The Greenburgh Library is much more than a building with books. I interviewed two Greenburgh Library employees on WVOX radio and was so impressed with the many services offered. Emily Dowie and Andrew Farber are passionate about the Library. They are passionate about the community and want the Greenburgh Library to be the best library in the nation! We are so lucky to have them working for us.
If you check out the library website: greenburghlibrary.org you will be amazed at all the services offered:
*free museum passes to museums in NYC;
*curbside pickup;
*homework and study help;
*College admissions and test prep classes;
*computer classes;
*help with research;
*learning English or other languages (English, German, Italian, Mandarin, Spanish, French; Arabic, Hindi, Japanese and Spanish)
*books, music, magazines and videos;
*online learning and teaching yourself technology;
*Free movies at the library;
*interesting discussions and concerts;
*photo contests;
*Business and jobs;
*senior programs
*a local history room
*24 hour pickup lockers--remote pick up 24 hours/seven days a week
.....and much, much more.
My guess is that most residents are not aware of all the amazing services offered by the Greenburgh Library. Our community is very lucky to have very dedicated librarians like Emily Dowie and Andrew Farber working for us. And, we are also fortunate to have a very dedicated group of volunteers (friends of the library, Greenburgh Library Guild) and an outstanding Library Board working hard to make sure that the library EXCEEDS your expectations. Christine Linder is the director of the library.
