New York State's Lieutenant Governor, Antonio Delgado spoke with 46 Greenburgh student interns earlier this week about his career as Lt. Governor of NYS, his previous job as a United States Congressman and his work in the music industry. In 2007 the future Lt. Governor released a socially conscious rap album. A Rhodes Scholar and Harvard Law School graduate, the Lt. Governor made NYS history by becoming the first person of either African American or Latino descent to be elected to Congress from upstate NY and the first Latino to hold statewide office in NYS.
The 46 Greenburgh student interns started their internship with the town three weeks ago. The program will continue till August 17th. Greenburgh Town Clerk Judith Beville is coordinator of the student internship program. The internship program started fifteen years ago by Town Clerk Judith Beville, Town Supervisor Paul Feiner and former Town Attorney Tim Lewis (who is currently a Court of Claims Judge). Student interns range from 8th grader's to college students.
The entire presentation by the Lt. Governor can be seen by clicking onto the link below. The students asked a number of questions during the presentation. A very inspiring presentation.
