Finally, work on the Underhill bridge will start again during the week of March 21! I thought the following would be of interest! Please advise your family, neighbors that there will be some inconveniences. If you are taking the train to work and usually make the train by a few minutes or have appointments you will need to leave extra time to get to your destination. Work on the bridge has been on hold for months so this is positive news. The bridge needs to be repaired and we can't avoid inconveniences.
The work is being done by New York State since the bridge is owned by the state.

Mr. Feiner
Be advised the NYSDOT contractor for the above referenced project anticipates starting daytime work at the Underhill Rd bridge over the Sprain Brook Pkwy for Stage II the week of March 21 weather permitting. We are planning to install the traffic signals, advanced warning sign and traffic barrels on Monday allowing for alternating one way traffic over the bridge. Alternating one way traffic will be from Monday, March 21 for about 2 months. The traffic pattern will be similar to the one utilized at this location last year.
