Over 1,000 motorists/residents sign petition asking NYS to repave Saw Mill River Road -Elmsford

Jennifer Glen started online petition just a little over a week ago

OVER 1,000 PEOPLE HAVE SIGNED PETITION URGING NYS TO REPAVE SAW MILL RIVER ROAD IN ELMSFORD IN A LITTLE OVER A WEEK

NUMEROUS POTHOLES, CRATERS, UNSAFE CONDITIONS ON A ROAD OWNED BUT NOT  PROPERLY MAINTAINED BY NYS

Over 1,000 residents and motorists have signed an online petition organized by Jennifer Glen, who was born and raised in Elmsford asking NYS to repave Saw Mill River Road in Elmsford/Greenburgh. Jennifer started her petition drive a little over a week ago. Attracting more than 1,000 signatures on an online petition in days  is very impressive and highlights how upset people are with the condition of this road. According to Jennifer "the NYS owned road  is utilized by our local Fire/EMS and Police Departments which poses delayed and unsafe travel conditions. The petition in itself speaks volumes on what residents and businesses want and deserve."This effort speaks volumes on what the residents and business owners of the area want and deserve.
Jennifer received the following e mail from the NYS Department of Transportation mentioning that the road "is not currently on the NYSDOT capital program. This is ridiculous.
Jennifer's petition drive is also endorsed by the Mayor of Elmsford, Robert Williams.
Jennifer mentioned that she won't give up her effort to get the state to repave the road. She has been reaching out to businesses, civic leaders, residents, elected officials and
won't accept no as as answer.
Jennifer Glen is an amazing citizen activist and an inspiration. We need more people to speak out on issues they are concerned about. And to take action. I believe she will be successful
