Many people love fireworks. Tonight, there will be fireworks in Dobbs Ferry (waterfront), Irvington (waterfront), Tarrytown (waterfront). Thousands of residents will enjoy the show.
Although permits are required if residents or businesses want to have their own fireworks display, safety measures must be complied with if a permit is granted.  Fireworks without permits are illegal. According to Greenburgh Police Chief George Longworth " Fireworks  are illegal and any one hearing fireworks being discharged should contact the  Police Department to investigate and take appropriate action when it is occurring."
