[ARCHIVED] early voting begins Sat-- and please don't steal candidates lawn signs

If you plan to steal a candidates lawn sign please smile because you may be video taped and your act could be shared on social media

Early voting hours begin this Saturday at Greenburgh Town Hall and Dobbs Ferry Village Hall. There are contested primaries for Governor, Lt. Governor and NYS Assembly.  Please vote.

ON ANOTHER MATTER---CANDIDATES and their supporters REPORT THAT LAWN SIGNS ARE BEING STOLEN. This happens every year in every community.  It's possible that some candidates could INSTALL VIDEO CAMERA'S NEAR THEIR SIGNS. If you know someone who likes to steal campaign signs tell that person to smile because they could be taped while removing the sign. And the video can be shared on social media and on websites which would be embarrassing.
Contested elections are an important aspect of democracy. Whether you like a candidate or not - please recognize that lawn signs provide them with a chance to get known, to communicate to the public that an election is being held. Lawn signs also encourage voters to learn more about the election and to pay attention to the candidates who are seeking office.
