[ARCHIVED] Irvington Shakespeare Company seeks actors and volunteers

A new local theater offering quality entertainment

Kamran Saliani is a resident of Irvington and founder and Executive Director of the Irvington Shakespeare Company. He is  looking for professional BIPOC actors local to the Westchester County area, ideally with training in Shakespearean performance, for their summer production of Love’s Labour’s Lost. The stipend for actors is $2,000 for the summer months of June/July.

The company is also looking for volunteers whom are seeking opportunities to get involved with a new professional theater company!

Please reach out to info@irvshakespeare.org with any inquiries about working with or helping out this summer! Shakespeare's work reflect many of the themes and challenges present in our world today, offering catharsis and hope. The Irvington Shakespeare Company seeks to decolonize and perform Shakespeare's plays in ways that everyone can understand in order to better process this critical moment in time. Their professional theatre hopes to entertain and inspire and to showcase local talent. Kamran also is taking steps to ensure that the productions are inclusive creatively as well as accessible physically by producing plays with intersectional lens, at free or affordable cost, while mindful to stage performances all people can attend through public transportation.

Thank you Kamran for enhancing the cultural life in our community and providing Greenburgh residents with the opportunity to be entertained with great acting.
