This is an important step that could lead to the redevelopment of the 4 corners of Hartsdale.
On Tuesday, April 5th at 7:00pm, Garrett Duquesne, the Commissioner of Community Development and Conservation will host a presentation of traffic and pedestrian safety improvements, and stormwater/flooding mitigations for the Four Corners and East Hartsdale Avenue corridor, all within the context of redevelopment potential at Four Corners. The traffic and flooding mitigation strategies were developed by Consultant AKRF, who previously presented to the Town last year with a focus on traffic/pedestrian safety on East Hartsdale Avenue.
From a traffic/pedestrian safety perspective, the April 5th presentation will focus on existing conditions at Four Corners, and potential traffic and stormwater improvements. Redevelopment concepts consistent with the Town’s Four Corners Redevelopment Plan https://greenburghny.com/DocumentCenter/View/7955/Four-Corners-Redevelopment-Plan-dated-5-22-19 will also be presented. From a stormwater/flood mitigation perspective, both short and longer term strategies to mitigate flooding in the vicinity of Four Corners and East Hartsdale Avenue will be presented. Town staff are pursuing County and Federal funding for this area which will be detailed at the meeting.
The Town’s Planning and Engineering Consultant for this corridor, AKRF (Michael Beattie PE & Justin Seeney), will present the technical aspects of the studies.
Residents are welcome and encouraged to view the presentation by either streaming live on the Town website at https://ny-greenburgh.civicplus.com/485/Watch-Live-Board-Meetings or viewing live on Altice/Cablevision Channel 76 or FiOS/Verizon Channel 35. Questions and comments can be submitted during the meeting for the presenters by writing to email@example.com. Town staff will monitor this address and along with the Consultant will answer as many questions as possible within a 7:00pm to 9:00pm timeframe.
