In memory of a great educator ---- Constantine Andreadis
A testimonial from one of many Alumni who are devastated by this sad news
"The Greenburgh School district lost a most beloved and cherished teacher yesterday, Constantine Andreadis, (or Dr A. … we called him) . His son posted of his passing yesterday and the Greenburgh HS alumni have all expressed utter heartbreak at the news. He was the best. A kind, giving, caring and super involved teacher who loved everyone one of his students. He taught art and photography but also chaired the yearbook club and Greek club in my time and directed the WISE internship program at Woodland. He opened doors for so many of us to potential careers we would not have dreamed to explore without him.. Thinking back I am so thankful we had him at Woodlands because he made coming to school a happy, warm, welcoming and inclusive experience. His classroom was always a safe place to go for help or advice. As I read through the posts I notice there are hundreds of students who felt the same way.
I am not sure how Greenburgh can honor his great work but I hope you can look into it. He was an incredible educator who touched many lives in this community. He should be remembered for his service."
AT the meeting of the Greenburgh Town Board tomorrow evening we will start with a moment of silence in honor and in memory of this great man who changed many young lives for the better. He cared about his students and made the world (especially Greenburgh) a better place.
