[ARCHIVED] Town Board approves budget with no tax hike

A slight tax cut. Third consecutive year of no tax increases

The Greenburgh Town Board unanimously approved the 2022 budget. There will be no tax increase next year. There will be a very slight tax cut. This is the 3rd consecutive year that the Town Board approved a budget with no tax hikes. Some additions were added to the original proposed budget that I initially submitted to the Town Board: Among them: work policies consultant (we want to enhance our personnel office), special investigations of internal operations. We authorized the Court to hire an attorney to assist the three Judges.

I am finalizing the 2022 capital budget and plan to submit the capital budget to the Town Board for consideration the first week in January.

Thank you to the members of the Town Board for their efforts reviewing the proposed budget. And, to Comptroller Roberta Romano for her efforts helping the town have three consecutive years of no tax hikes. Also, a big thank you to all the department heads who assisted the Town Board during the budget process.
