The Greenburgh Health Center is offering free booster vaccines (Pfeizer) this Thursday from 2 to 6 PM
GREENBURGH HEALTH CENTER TO OFFER FREE BOOSTER SHOTS PFEIZER AT FARMERS MARKET THIS THURSDAY, OCTOBER 7
The first ever Greenburgh Town Hall Farmers Market was an exuberant success this week, attracting hundreds. We encourage your presence when we do it again on Thursday, October 7 from 2-6 p.m. This Thursday the Greenburgh Health Center will also offer free booster shots to those who are eligible for their 3rd Pfizer vaccine. And will have both Pfizer and Moderna vaccines available to those who want their first or second shot.
“I’ve been doing farmers markets for 16 years. This is an amazing first day response. I’ve never seen -- and I’ve done a lot of first-day stuff -- a response like this,” said Ray Kettering, a dairy farmer. “The community has come out. They are for the freshness. They are talking to the farmers. They’re getting ideas for how to prepare things. It is a nice community event… And we had music here all day.”

The market is considered as a trial run this season, with a full ongoing market anticipated for 2022 if all goes well -- which it certainly seems to be. Nancy and Joe Chiocchi, Greenburgh owners of Westchester Greenhouses and Farm, brings the color with ten tents of veggies, fruit, pumpkins, mums, honey, baked goods and more. Ray Ketterling’s dairy farm sells milk, eggs, butter. You can even bring your knives to get sharpened. Local students sell baked goods and books for charity and the Greenburgh Library presents their fall programming. Dixieland duo The Big Easies featuring Edgemont's own Jay Folk plays live.
Inside are Covid-19 vaccinations, care of Greenburgh Health Center with info and advocacy from #VaxUpWestchester. On hand are both Pfizer (age 12+) and Moderna shots, as well as Pfizer boosters for those eligible. Walk-ins are welcome for the duration of the market.
Join us again this Thursdayfor this warm and welcoming community market and show us with your support that you want more fresh, local food on a regular basis right in your neighborhood. If you are interested in being a part of this or future markets, email Judith Beville, Town Clerk, at jbeville@greenburghny.com.
