Would appreciate the help of those who have expertise dealing with casualty losses
“FEMA ANGELS NAME CHANGE --STORM RELIEF ANGELS
ASSISTING THOSE EXPERIENCING DIFFICULTY NAVIGATING THE FEMA PROCESS, AROUND CASUALTY LOSSES DUE TO THE RECENT STORMS
LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS WHO CAN HELP TRAIN THE ANGELS
Further to my earlier email, many of our wonderful residents have begun to come forward and volunteer to help those who require support and assistance completing the confusing FEMA insurance application process. i want to train the volunteers so that they can be most helpful to the seniors who need our help.
However, it has become clear that in-order-to successfully organize this support system, we will require the time and expertise of a small group of residents with experience in the following areas:
- INSURANCE CLAIMS
- INSURANCE ADJUSTMENT
- CONSTRUCTION
- CASUALTY LOSS
We would hope to convene a small group meeting, it can be virtual, of related “casualty” professionals, able to establish a process which our volunteers might utilize to assist our community. I would greatly appreciate anyone with related experience contacting me directly at 914-438-1343 or pfeiner@greenburghny.com. Please be aware, the effects of the most recent storm have devastated the lives of many, who remain in need of immediate assistance.
Greenburgh, “Strong and United” is a real community where “help thy neighbor” is far more than a catch phrase.
With a great sense of appreciation for the wonderful community in which we live. On a related note the Town Board and I are working with county officials --hoping to have FEMA representatives stationed in Greenburgh (probably the Greenburgh Library) in the coming weeks. A Greenburgh FEMA station will be very helpful and convenient. When dates/locatdion/times are confirmed will provide updates.
