If you drive on Underhill Road today you'll notice that NYS installed traffic signals, advanced warning sign and traffic barrels allowing for alternating one way traffic over the bridge bordering Ardsley/Edgemont. Alternating one way traffic will be for about about 2 months (mid-November). There will be slight traffic delays. The traffic pattern in similar to the one utilized at Heatherdell Rd last year at this time. I spoke with the Resident Engineer involved with the project for the NYS Department of Transportation, Joseph O'Malley who advises that the state is involved in routine maintenance of the bridge. Doing concrete repairs and resurfacing of the deck. They are not taking down the deck. Glad that NYS is maintaining their infrastructure.
