Please sign the on line petition. The long delays in getting passports processed has created disappointments for many.
Summer plans of many Americans are being disrupted because of passport delays. Weddings, family plans, business trips are being cancelled because the passport agency doesn't have the resources to process passports. A suggestion: the passport agency should authorize temporary extensions. Background checks would still be required. A Greenburgh woman was able to fly to Bulgaria to attend wedding of her brother. And, another constituent just got her passport yesterday and is able to travel to Aruba with her mom.
