Just an update regarding the Legislation now in the NYS Assembly, pertaining to the amendment of NYS Village Law regarding incorporation.
NYS Assembly Bill 2553 B passed the Ways and Means Committee and will be forwarded to the Rules Committee. The Bill has been amended with language which would provide strong protection for Greenburgh, as the proposed Legislation would require that any new Village must have a minimum of 10,000 residents, if it is currently situated in a Town with a population in excess of 75,000. Greenburgh enjoys more than 90, 000 wonderful people residing in our great Town.
Please contact our wonderful NYS Legislative leaders, Senator/Majority Leader Andrea Stewart Cousins and Assemblyman Thomas Abinanti to express your support for Bill A 2553 B in the Assembly and Bill S 1657 B in the NYS Senate.
Senator Cousins and Assemblyman Abinanti have always been great supporters of Greenburgh and tireless workers on our behalf. Please let them know how just much we need them at this critical moment and ask them to push this Bill through and save Greenburgh. The time to reach out is now, as the legislative session ends this Thursday, in just 3 days.

(Please note this is not a request to donate, your name in support will suffice. If Change.org requests a donation, that money does not go to the Town.)
Thank you for your attention to this important matter! Over 650 Greenburgh residents have already signed the petition. Send our State Legislators a message that we need to save the town as we know it.
