DAY CAMPS

 

PLEASE NOTE: your children must have a valid resident or non-resident Unicard before he/she can register for Camp.  Unicards can be obtained from the Registration Office at Anthony F. Veteran Park.  For information about this requirement, please call the Registration Office at 989-1812.

 

 

 

The dates for all camps are Monday, June 28 through Friday, August 6. There will be no camp on July 5th.

All forms are to be returned in person or by mail to: the Registration Office, Attention: Day Camp Registration, Town of Greenburgh, Department of Parks and Recreation, 11 Olympic Lane, Ardsley, NY 10502.  NO FAXES WILL BE ACCEPTED!

 

SAVE YOURSELF $50!   Register and pay by May 15, 2021.

Base price for most camps will increase by $50 after May 15th.

 

 

CAMP REGISTRATION PROCEDURES

You can register online at www.greenburghny.com/parks. Online registration does not guarantee enrollment until all documents have been reviewed.                                                                                                                                                                    

Your child must have a valid resident or non-resident unicard before he/she can register for camp. Unicards can be obtained online or from the Registration Office at Anthony F. Veteran Park. Resident  Youth: $7; Non-Resident Youth: $14. For information about this requirement please call the registration office at 914-989-1812.                                                                                                                                                               

1. Camps are for residents of the unincorporated area of Greenburgh. Applications for non-residents will be processed after June 1, 2021. The non-resident fee is $1,100.                                                                                               

2. Completed camp packages can be sent by mail or dropped off in an envelope at the Registration Office and will be processed daily. Registration will continue until camp enrollment maximums have been met. Online registrants can submit their documents via email at recreation@greenburghny.com or at the Registration Office. NOTE: Faxed documents will NOT be accepted.                                          

3. The following must be included in the camp package to be eligible for registration:                                    

  1. One camp application for each child filled out completely.                                       
  2. Immunization Records                                                                       
  3. Full Payment Options:                                                                        
    • Check - accepted in person or by mail. Make checks payable to Greenburgh Parks & Recreation.                                                                  
    • Credit Cards only accepted online or in person. We can no longer accept and process credit card information on the form or over the phone.                                 
    • Cash accepted in person, AFV Park, Registration Office, 11 Olympic Lane, Ardsley.                                                                                                                                                            

4. Emails will be sent to everyone enrolled. You will be notified if registration is at the maximum and your application will be placed on the waiting list.                                                                                    

5. A space for your child(ren) will not be held if all required documents are not submitted or the application is incomplete (even if you paid online).                                                                         

6. The department reserves the right to request proof of residence and/or camper's birth certificate for age verification, if necessary.                                                                                

Cancellation Fee

Parks and recreation will honor a refund request if received at least 10 days before the first day of camp. The processing fee of ten dollars ($10) or ten percent (10%) of the program fee, whichever is higher, will be charged for processing refunds that are approved.  Full   refunds for a medical reason before camp begins will be issued when accompanied by a doctor's note. A pro-rated refund will be issued after camp starts when accompanied by a doctor's note.                                                                                                                                                         

Camp Discount

There is a 10% discount for resident families with 3 or more children enrolled in camp. Rainbow Half Day: $485 ($530 after 5/15/21).      Full Day Camps: Rainbow, Kidco, Good Times, Star & Victory $720 ($765 after 5/15/21).  Discount does not apply to Extended Day or Early Drop-Off packages.                                                                                          

Financial Assistance/Scholarship

Please contact the office for the Financial Assistance/Scholarship Request Form if assistance is needed. This must be completed with all the proper documentation and submitted with the camp registration form. Financial assistance isn't available for the Early Drop-Off or Extended Day packages. Financial Assistance isn't available for online registration.

Camp Rainbow Half Day provides well balanced activities for preschoolers, including arts and crafts, games, music, dance, swimming in our Interactive Children's Pool  and special events.                              

Camp Rainbow Full Day is a planned program of arts and crafts, games, music, dance, swimming (instruction and free swim) and special   events.                                                                                

Camp Kidco consists of a structured balance of arts and crafts, music, nature, games, sports, dance, outdoor activities, special events, swim instruction and free swim daily.                                                       

Camp Good Times includes daily swim periods, soccer, softball, Olympics, special events, day trips, movies, arts and crafts, bowling and cookout.                                                                         

Camp Star provides many activities such as sports development, arts and crafts, board games, swimming, trips and a cookout.                                                                            

Camp Victory is for individuals with developmental disabilities. This camp provides a variety of activities such as sports, arts and crafts, games, swimming and trips.

Notes: All campers will receive a camp T-shirt.

A 10% discount will be given to residents with three or more children enrolled in camp. (Discount is for registration fee only and is not applicable to those requesting financial assistance).

Note:  Refunds carry a 10% processing service charge and must be submitted on Dept. refund request form at least 10 days prior to the start of camp.

CAMP RAINBOW

DAY/TIME/AGE

Mon-Fri./8:45am-11:45pm/3 yrs. (half-day)

Mon.-Fri./8:45am-2:45pm/4-5 yrs. (full-day)

LOCATION: Concord Road School

A planned program of arts and crafts, music, games, outdoor activities, swimming and special events. Child must bring own lunch. Child must be 4 years of age by July 1st for full day. Child must be 3 years by July 1st for half-day and toilet trained. Transportation not provided.  Early drop-off available.  See fee schedule and description in this section.

Note:  Residents in the Ardsley School District are eligible to register at resident rate.

 

EARLY DROP OFF

DAY/TIME:   Daily/7:45am

LOCATION:  Concord Road School

Participants of Camp Rainbow are eligible to register for the early drop off program.  Youngsters can be dropped off at school on a daily basis beginning at 7:45am.  Staff will be on hand to monitor passive activities.  See fee schedule in this section. NOTE:  Financial assistance is not available for this program.

 

 

CAMP KIDCO

DAY/TIME: Mon.-Fri/8:45am-3:15pm

LOCATION: Lee F. Jackson School

GRADE: 1st and 2nd

An organized balance of arts and crafts, music, nature, games, outdoor activities, special events, swim instruction and free swim daily. Child must bring own lunch. This camp is for children entering 1st and 2nd grades. *Extended Day Package available-See fee schedule and description in this section.

 

EXTENDED DAY PACKAGE

Participants in Camps Kidco and Good Times are eligible to register for the extended day program.   This includes: A) Daily drop off beginning at 7:45am at each respective camp. B) Daily pick-up at the Anthony F. Veteran Park Multipurpose Center anytime between the hours of 4:00-6:00pm. (Participants from Camp Kidco will be transported to Anthony F. Veteran Park prior to 4:00pm).  Staff will conduct a planned on-site schedule of daily passive activities, games, movies and more.  .  See fee schedule in this section.

NOTE: Bus transportation and financial assistance not available to participants in the Extended Day Program.

 

CAMP GOOD TIMES

DAY/TIME: Mon.-Fri./9:00am-3:45pm

LOCATION: Secor Woods Park

GRADE: 3rd-6th

This camp will consist of daily swim periods, soccer, softball, basketball, Olympic Games and other special events; movies, arts and crafts, bowling and cookouts. Camper must bring own lunch. This camp is for youngsters entering 3rd-6th grades.   *Extended Day Package available.   See description in this section.

 

CAMP STAR

DAY/TIME: Mon.-Fri./9:00am-3:45pm

LOCATION: Woodlands High School

GRADE: 6th thru 9th

This camp will provide many activities such as sports development, arts & crafts, board games, swimming, and cookout All participants will have a regular swim program.

 

CAMP VICTORY

DAY/TIME: Mon.-Fri./9:00am-3:00pm

LOCATION: Ardsley High School

AGE: 5-21 yrs.

MAXIMUM PARTICIPANTS: 15

This camp is for children who have developmental disabilities. This camp provides a variety of activities geared to meet the needs of the children. For more information call 989-1815.

Note: First preference is given to those who reside in the Greenburgh which includes the six Villages.   Transportation will be provided for residents only.  Non-residents may register after 6/1/21.

 

 

EDGEMONT RECREATION DAY CAMPS

LOCATION:  Edgemont Schools

AGE:  3 through early teens

The Edgemont camps provide an outlet for children to participate in a multitude of fun activities during the summer.  Register for 3-6 week sessions:
