GREENBURGH APPROVES SITE PLAN APPLICATION FOR REGENERON'S POTENTIAL 1,000,000 SQ FT EXPANSION

Last week the  Greenburgh Town Board made a negative declaration (a finding that the proposed project will not have significant negative environmental impacts) and approved a site plan application for an exciting new research and development campus in the north part of the Town. The Town Board approved a 1,000,000 sq. ft. expansion for Loop Road Holdings, LLC, a subsidiary of Regeneron, who currently has a major presence in the Town of Greenburgh and Town of Mount Pleasant. The approval will allow for the potential development of a research and development campus on a portion of a 100-acre vacant parcel in the Town of Greenburgh south of the existing Regeneron Campus. Regeneron has continued to grow rapidly and will now have the opportunity to consider creating a campus with nine buildings, totaling ±1,016,190 sq. ft. of research and development and related spaces in the Town of Greenburgh as they evaluate their future expansion options.

 

Regeneron is the Town’s largest employer and is an innovator in the life science industry. The potential expansion will further cement the growth of this bio-tech cluster in the Town of Greenburgh, Westchester County and New York State, and builds upon the vision laid out by the Town Board in the Town of Greenburgh’s Comprehensive Plan.

 

The architectural renderings submitted in support of the plan are remarkable. The approved plan was designed to have a village-like feel and incorporates structured parking, plaza space, outdoor collaboration space, and integrated open space, in environmentally sustainable (projected LEED Silver, minimum) buildings.

 

The Town Board is proud to support the continued growth of Regeneron.
