Town Board to start our meeting with a moment of silence in honor and in memory of Lorenzo Brown
Release Date: March 13, 2019

The Greenburgh Town Board will begin tonight’s meeting with a moment of silence in honor of Lorenzo Preston Brown, Jr. – an important civic leader. Lorenzo was a very special person. When I first got elected Lorenzo stopped by at Town Hall almost daily pushing for the construction of a sidewalk on Payne Street in North Elmsford. He was frustrated by the slow process and after a few months encouraged me to put on working shoes, to get on a truck and to start building the sidewalk myself with town DPW crews (which we did!). Lorenzo pushed for enforcement of building code violations (we hired additional inspectors because of him) and he successfully lobbied the town to enhance Massaro Park (which we also did).
Lorenzo was a model citizen –he was effective, always constructive and he made our community a much better place. He will always be remembered and always appreciated.  He was always forceful, persistent but respectful.
PAUL FEINER
